I say chaps, interesting comment that jolly
fellow Paul E posted regarding Remembrance Day. To
think that Penny Fairfax (frightful chappy) and I
slogged our guts out with the Cherry Bums in the
Kalahari, took on the Bosch at Monte Casino and fought
for Queen and country defending an Empire where the sun
never set. Now on our days of remembrance we are
subjected to a rather portly chap in wig and gowns
cavorting for pleasure in front of the assembled
Military veterans. Quite frankly his input is about
as welcome as the fuzzy wuzzies at Yidi's
Kraal. Penny and I steadfastly refuse his offer of
'tea and fancies on the veranda'. Pip pip chaps this
is simply not cricket, These cads are an absolute
shower. Must go chappies as i'm off to catch a
charabanc to the Light Brigade Club for a few port and
cigars in the library with Penny and Sir Henry
Rawlinson.

I say Billingston you old contemptable,
haven't heard from you since Pipe Major McCrinnon lost
sixpence in the mess at Sandhurst, we never heard the
end of it. I understand you are giving the micks a
good tongue lashing over that fwightful wascal Polly,
bravo, bravo, wouldn't know a days work if it hit him on
the head! Billingston darling, you really must call
over for brunch, there's only me the wife and the
labradors. We can discuss the decline of the Empire
and how Enoch Powell was right |

Its good to hear from you 2 old dogs of war
again,Councils a Bloody mess. Ive a good mind to thrash
that young rascal Polly to within a inch of his
life. I see that old Officer Ken Dodd or was it Webb?
still bragging about how he single handily saved the
Council armed only with a whitewash brush.Says he is
mentioned in dispatches if he can find them. Jasper was
it the Gay Gordons he served under? Dear Marsden,he
never got over the African campaign and those dreadful
Immpie, still hear he has taken his frustrations out on
every colour but white. Come to think of it
Billingston, who was that portly chap with the white wig
and black frock prancing amonst the ranks? Time for
another gin and tonic.
